Kate Garraway has been forced to pull out of Good Morning Britain after receiving news of a family emergency, just months after tragically losing her husband Derek Draper
Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway is facing a personal emergency as she takes time off from the show to be with her father, who has suffered a suspected stroke and heart attack. The 57 year old presenter dashed from the ITV studios last Tuesday after learning of her dad Gordon's critical condition.
An insider revealed to The Sun the severity of the situation: "Very sadly, Kate's father collapsed earlier this week while staying, along with her mum and her brother in Cornwall. It was incredibly frightening as he was found unconscious and immediately taken to hospital. It seems likely that he's had a stroke and possibly a heart attack as well - doctors are still doing tests."
Kate Garraway's absence from GMB has raised fans' eyebrows, igniting concerns on social media with comments like: "Guessing Kate's off #GMB because of her dad... sending love." Derek had fallen into a medically induced coma and was considered the UK's longest-fighting Covid patient after being in hospital for over a year, isolated from Kate and their children. Despite his tenacity, he encountered repeated setbacks with kidney failure, brain inflammation, and liver and lung damage, reports Devon Live.
