GMB's Kate Garraway was appointed director of Derek's once successful psychotherapy company, Astra Aspera Ltd, after he was struck down with Covid in 2020.
Kate Garraway has been forced to make the tough decision of closing her husband Derek Draper's firm after racking up almost £200,000 worth of debt.
A friend of Kate's friends told the Daily Mail: "It's terribly sad, but Derek can't work and has no prospect of being able to do so in the near future, so Kate thought it best to close it down." "Astra Aspera was primarily Derek's company, he was the director. Kate was made director last February so that she could attempt to keep it going," a source previously told The Mail on Sunday.
