According to The Express, Kate and William typically alternate overseas travel commitments so that at least one parent stays with the children. For example, when Prince William travelled to Singapore last Autumn for the Earthshot Prize Awards, Kate remained at home with their three children. This was reportedly due to Prince George having important school tests that week. A royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam explained that William and Kate are eager to shield their young children from the intense public scrutiny that comes with being part of the monarchy. He noted that the couple "are wisely concerned at any overexposure of and of Charlotte and Louis."
