KateMiddleton sends a pointed message as she contradicts Meghan's dress 'rule'
It was one of the more interesting revelations of Harry & Meghan, that there is a "rule" senior members of the Royal family can't wear the same colour.
Princess Charlotte walked into the event hand in hand with her mother dressed in a mini version of her mother's outfit with Peter Pan collar, while even Prince William's tie matched. Even those who didn't wear burgundy seemed to have co-ordinated with Queen Camilla, Sophie Countess of Wessex and Princess Beatrice all in varying shades of cream
“To my understanding you can’t ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there’s a group event. But then you also should never be wearing the same colour as one of the other more senior members of the family.” But while fitting in may have once been her desire, the docuseries makes clear that is no longer the aim.
