Kate Middleton showcases musical talent as she plays piano at carol concert

The Duchess of Cambridge is hosting the Royals' annual carol concert in Westminster Abbey

The Duchess of Cambridge has given a preview of her piano skills ahead of her televised carol concert.

In the short clip, Kate is surrounded by candles and is wearing a floor-length red gown with her hair worn in loose waves. “I’m so excited to be hosting Together at Christmas here at Westminster Abbey, a place that’s really special to William and me,” the 39 year old says in the programme’s introduction which was recorded before the service.

“But I suppose through that separation, we’ve also realised how much we need each other and how acts of kindness and love can really bring us comfort and relief in times of distress.” The Duchess further promised that the event has “so many wonderful carols”, and discussed how important music has been to many people over the course of the pandemic - including herself.
