Kate admits she struggled to find her place in Rio’s family, after becoming a step-mum to his three children.
Kate Wright may be happily loved-up with husband
‘I cried every single day for a year when I first moved in with Rio,’ she says. ‘It was an incredibly difficult time because his mum Janice passed away [of cancer in 2017] just two years after they had lost Rebecca. My heart was breaking for them.‘All I wanted to do was try to fix him, make the kids happy and be as kind and supportive as I could.
Kate admits she was ‘trying so hard to please’ everyone, she was no longer being herself and she actually left Rio’s home and went back to her own flat for a little while.Rio has three children with his late wife Rebecca who died in 2015 Rio and Kate: Becoming A Stepfamily shows a behind-the-scenes look at Kate and Rio’s life as they navigate the challenges of integrating their family and Kate becoming a step-mum.
