And while it’s been a busy couple of weeks after starting her brand new radio show on Dublin station Q102 , Kathryn told how she had a “nice, easy start into 2025”

Kathryn Thomas has told how she is embracing new challenges this year — and opened up about her new documentary Skinny Jab Revolution.

“The first few days, everything feels so new and so strange. But the more I do it, the more comfortable I get — and being able to get my own guests on that I want to talk to. “We were always kind of working right up until Christmas. I mean, we always had Christmas off, but you were kind of straight back in on December 27 or 28.“So, this year, we spent the New Year down in Dingle, and then we took the kids off to Morocco. I kind of went on holidays on December 7 and I didn’t come back to work until mid-January.

Skinny Jab Revolution will follow the Carlow native as she looks at the almost overnight emergence of GLP-1 weight loss medications, like Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro — and explores their huge impact. “For me, it was like, what does this mean for society as a whole? As a mother of two girls, I was sort of concerned about what what does this mean for for us going forward? I wanted to learn more. I wanted to understand more.

“I’d always been talking about physical exercise, good food, and that’s the drum that we need to be banging. I still, 100 per cent, believe that it is. She said, “We have to look at the environment we’re living in, we have to look at the foods that we’re eating. “So, we’ve gotten to a point now where — someone described it to me as, it’s a man-made solution to a manmade problem.

“What does that mean for the regular diet and exercise? What is it saying? What messages is it giving our children, to say, ‘you can just take this little needle, take this little jab and you can eat what you want and don’t worry about it’.
