McCabe shared a photo of the couple wearing bikinis in the ocean on Instagram, wishing her followers a Merry Christmas . McCabe and Foord, teammates since 2020, went public with their relationship earlier this year. They were on opposing sides during Australia's 1-0 win against Ireland in the opening game of the 2023 FIFA World Cup. Though McCabe couldn't lead Ireland to a second consecutive tournament, losing to Wales in a play-off earlier this month, she expressed gratitude to departing head coach Eileen Gleeson for her contributions to the team
