The Republic of Ireland captain was all smiles as she enjoyed a few days away with Caitlin Foord
Katie McCabe enjoyed a trip to Rome with her Arsenal teammate Caitlin Foord over the weekend, with the pair sharing a number of photos on social media to spark romance rumours.
The Republic of Ireland captain was all smiles as she enjoyed cocktails and food in the sun with Australian international Foord. They also did a tour of the Colosseum in the Italian capital. Sharing pictures on Instagram, Foord wrote: "Sick time away in Rome." McCabe wrote alongside the photos: "Amore," which translates to love. Other snaps showed the footballers relaxing at a rooftop pool in the city.McCabe's mother Sharon was among those to comment on the photos, writing: "Great pics love yous . Enjoy, mommy misses you.
The Girls in Green kicked off their World Cup campaign with a 1-0 defeat to the joint-hosts due to a Stephanie Catley's penalty early in the second half. But drama came before the match even got under way when Littlejohn appeared to snub Foord, completely bypassing her opponent when the teams were shaking hands.
Foord had been on holiday with McCabe shortly before the tournament started. The pair enjoyed a trip to Ibiza a number of months after Littlejohn and McCabe ended their seven-year relationship. There is no suggestion Foord played any part in the breakdown of their relationship.
