Ireland interim boss Eileen Gleeson wants every seat at Tallaght Stadium filled against Albania on Friday evening to show that her team deserve to play regularly at the Aviva Stadium
Women's Ballon D'or nominee Katie McCabe is at the peak of her powers for Arsenal and Ireland, says her international colleague Denise O'Sullivan.
O'Sullivan said that McCabe's focus is solely on the mission to continue Ireland's winning run in the group. "So she was fully focused on the game and you can see that in Katie, how fully invested she is in this team and how much she wants to go out and play for her country, she loves doing it.McCabe, who made history by scoring Ireland's first goal at a World Cup finals during the summer, gave a timely reminder of her ability with two outstanding goals for Arsenal in their WSL victory over Bristol City last Sunday.
Gleeson has confirmed she has a full strength squad for the game and, if she plays, Diane Caldwell will make her 100th Ireland appearance. "So it is a huge moment for her and a proud moment for everyone around her. The cards are close to the chest - but a proud moment." "The conversation now is about the Aviva, so we need people to come in here, to prove that there is that fanbase here, that it is tangible and we can action it.
