Katie Price has been arrested after landing back in the UK from her trip to Turkey. The former glamour model had a warrant out for her arrest after failing to show up to a bankruptcy hearing last month. The TV personality was due to give evidence about her finances before a specialist bankruptcy court in London. Katie was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and for a second time in March this year.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed her arrest in a statement, which said: "A 46-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested at Heathrow Airport at 19:45hrs on Thursday, 8 August for failing to appear at court. She has been remanded in custody at a west London police station to appear at court tomorrow, Friday, 9 August."
Just hours before her arrest, she took to social media to inform her followers that she was "aware" of the impending arrest.
