Irish boxing superstar Katie Taylor has revealed that her dream of fighting at Croke Park remains alive. The undisputed super lightweight world champion says she is not finished in the professional boxing world and that a fight at Ireland's iconic stadium is her ultimate goal.

Katie Taylor is not giving up on her dream of fighting at Croke Park . The undisputed super lightweight world champion says her work in professional boxing is far from done - and stepping out at the famous Drumcondra stadium is at the top of her list. Taylor beat Amanda Serrano last year in front of over 72,000 fans in Dallas, Texas on a historic Netflix production - but a Croke Park fight would top that attendance.

She was speaking at an Everlast event at Sports Direct in Carrickmines when she said: “It’s definitely still a dream to fight at Croke Park. “I think to have a chance to fight here in Ireland is always absolutely incredible, but to have a chance to fight in our most iconic arena, Croke Park, would be the icing on the cake for me. “That would be the pinnacle of my career, to have the chance to fight at Croke Park. So I’m still hanging on to that hope, but we’ll see what happens.” Taylor added that she had no plans to hang up her gloves anytime soon. Both Chantelle Cameron, who she beat in the second of two fights in 2023 to become a two-weight champion, and Serrano are eager to complete trilogies against the Bray boxer. They might have to come to Dublin to do that, if Taylor has her way. “I think there are still more big fights out there for me, like that fight in Croke Park,” she said. “There are still some huge fights out there for me, more ground to make up in my pro career. This year is going to be a very big year for me, I feel.” The second Taylor-Serrano fight was hailed as one of the greatest bouts, with Taylor winning on a unanimous decision after 10 rounds. Not taking the time to soak up the acclaim after a big win is something that the 38-year-old believes is a flaw - but it’s not something that is likely to change in the near future. “As I go on I realise that after I win these competitions and certain fights, I’m always thinking to the next fight,” she said. “I don’t really take time to… I don’t think I took the time to enjoy the wins as much as I should have. “But I think that’s natural as well when you are in the middle of your career, you are always thinking about the next fight
