Speaking on RTE's Path to Paris, a docuseries on Olympic hopefuls, Kellie opened up about the aftermath of the controversial interview that led to her withdrawing from social media
Kellie Harrington has admitted she "spiralled downhill" after her controversial interview with sports website Off The Ball last year.
She declined to expand on her views on immigration when asked about them in the interview, which went viral online when it was posted and led to criticism of Kellie. Looking back on the aftermath of the interview, the Olympian said she “kind of spiralled downhill”, adding that she “went to the really darkest of the darkest places”.
In the third and final episode of Path to Paris, a docuseries on Olympic hopefuls that will air on RTÉ One at 10.10 tonight, Kellie paid tribute to her wife Mandy Loughlin and her coach Noel Burke who have been a constant source of support.
