Kerry Katona opens up in her weekly column about why she's not always the happiest when it comes to her birthday - and this time round, as she prepared to turn 44, was no different, she says - reminding her as it does of going into foster care, as well as her mum struggling to make ends meet.
A Brand New Term DJ is back at school now and couldn’t wait to start – she was so excited. I can’t believe she’s in Year Six! Where does the time go? Feeling Poorly I’ve been really ill this week – I’ve got strep throat and feel like s**t! It started on holiday and I tried to ignore it, but it has really hit me since getting home. I went to the doctors and got antibiotics, so here’s hoping they help – it even hurts to talk at the moment.
It’s quite a triggering time for me – I think it’s because it was a couple of days after my 13th birthday that I got put into a foster home. I’ll never forget getting some birthday money that year, I think it was about £35, and having to give it away to a taxi driver to help my mum.
