Kerry Katona has lashed out at This Morning and host Phillip Schofield for their handling of her 2008 interview, which quickly went viral.
Initially, Kerry was taken aback by his comments but soon elaborated that her tardy medication intake the previous night was responsible for her condition. Then Fern brought up a current magazine's speculation about her drinking the night before a photoshoot causing Kerry to defend herself once again.
She clarified her condition further: "I'm not on any A-class drugs and drink, I'd just got up and gone to work, it was a side effect from my medication, but because people didn't understand that, they just thought, 'She's off her f*****g head'." "But they never said to me once, 'What's bipolar? We're uneducated, we don't know about mental health, what's the medication you're taking? ' It was just implied there and then. It was no secret that I'd go out at the weekend that get off my t**s, but I've never done that on television ever."
