Clayton Kershaw's disagreement with the Los Angeles Dodgers to include the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in its Pride night fueled his announcement of the club's 'Christian Faith and Family Day,' he said.

He told the Los Angeles Times the timing of the announcement was “in response to the highlighting of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence .”

Kershaw said the organization had already made plans for the event this season, as it was a regular part of the Dodgers’ annual promotional schedule prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Excited to announce the relaunch of Christian Faith and Family Day at Dodger Stadium on July 30th. More details to come— but we are grateful for the opportunity to talk about Jesus and determined to make it bigger and better than it was before COVID. Hope to see you on July 30th!
