In an episode of the 'Smartless' podcast, hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett, Kevin Bacon said that he and his wife lost 'most of' their money when Bernie Madoff notoriously cheated thousands of investors out of billions of dollars.

"'We made it this far. Our kids are healthy. We're healthy. Let's look at what we have that's good. We can still both work,'" Bacon continued of his mindset while speaking to Sedgwick. When asked if they got the money back, Bacon said yes, but noted that"it's a complicated thing to explain." He said they got a portion of the money back and more from the lawsuit, adding that they had to change the way they viewed their investments.
