It emerged today that the full executive board did not sign off on the redundancy deal done with Breda O'Keeffe
Richard Collins, the RTÉ chief financial officer, said the executive did not sign off on the 2020 voluntary redundancy package for his predecessor Breda O’Keeffe.
Collins told the Public Accounts Committee that he was on the executive board when the payment was made but not when it was agreed. “I knew nothing about that package, Breda never explained anything about it, the director-general never did,” he said.
