Con, 57, went on a date with 51-year-old Maggie from Westmeath.
He set a romantic tone straight away as he brought her flowers and kept her giggling as he cracked some cheesy jokes throughout. However, things got serious when Con opened up about the reason why he was so keen to come to the First Dates Restaurant and have a new experience - the untimely death of his three siblings."He was 16, I was 14," said Con. "He was a passenger in a car coming home from a summer job.
"People in my life have lost their life at a relatively early age and it makes me want to live mine. Now I know we're only here for a short time, hence I want to have new experiences.""I lost two sisters recently to two different cancers in the last four years," he told Maggie. "But they'd say to me drive on and keep going.
