Kildare nutritionist Debbie Devane picked the menu items people should avoid at McDonalds, Burger King and other fast food restaurants.
Instead, she recommends one menu item that is lower in carbohydrates but is still a good treat option. Debbie shared that it’s preferable to completely avoid fast food restaurants, but people can indulge in a treat every now and again. “If we consume these foods regularly, they are going to lead to things like high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and obesity.”“If you’re going into these places and you can’t choose the salad and a bottle of water because that’s not always going to happen, I would personally pick the kid’s meal.“It’s not as high in carbs as going for the Big Mac meal, the Whoppers or going for the extra large.”“One a month, I would say. If you can stick to that, you’re not doing too bad.
