The Met Gala - sometimes known as The Met Ball - was formerly called the Costume Institute Gala or the Costume Institute Benefit. It acts as a fundraiser for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City.
The theme for 2023 is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty - to honour the late designer who died in February 2019.The official list is never revealed in full, but it is expected that the co-chairs will be walking the steps of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year, they are Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Penelope Cruz and Roger Federer.
