Ella Wogden has started a fundraising campaign for an Accrington charity
A kind-hearted eight-year-old has set up a fundraiser to raise as much money for the homeless as possible by walking dogs in her area.
Ella Wogden from Rishton has started a charity fundraising campaign to raise money for Crossroads in Accrington, part of the Salvation Army. Crossroads is a service which offers supported accommodation for people between the ages of 16 and 21. After hearing about helping charities while at Brownies in Rishton, Ella decided she wanted to do something for the charity because she wants to help people in need. Ella’s mum, Kerry O’Donnell, said: “Ella has always wanted to do something for charity. Me and her dad, Joshua, are really proud of her.”The kind-hearted St Peters and St Pauls pupil will be walking local small and medium dogs in the area accompanied by an adult and wants to raise money for a couple of months.
Ella said: “I enjoyed walking my dog, Shyla, who is no longer with us, and so I thought maybe I want to do dog walking for charity. It feels good and I like doing it.
