King Charles III is beginning his reign with much greater visibility as part of a plan to establish a more active and transparent monarchy

has reminded many in Britain of the special place and purpose of the monarchy in their lives, including its power to unite the country. A new generation will always remember where they were when the queen died and a new king came to power. From left, Prince Andrew, King Charles III, Camilla, the Queen Consort, and Princess Anne attended a service for Queen Elizabeth II at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh on Monday.Queen Elizabeth was famed for her work rate but as she aged was less physically able to undertake in-person events, especially when the pandemic took hold. She was fondly called the “Zoom Monarch” as she increasingly spoke to the nation remotely. She hadn’t traveled abroad since 2015.
