While the formal announcement of King Charles III is held, the city of Leeds will be honouring the proceedings from Yorkshire.
Flags on public buildings will be flown at full-mast from 11am for about 24 hours, below are the details of what will happen in Leeds city centre. The formal West Yorkshire Proclamation of King Charles III will take place at Leeds Civic Hall on Sunday, at 12.45pm. The High Sheriff will be accompanied by the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Robert W Gettings MBE JP and Lord Lieutenant in proclaiming the reign of the new monarch.
