Another win, another batch of injuries. Can the Niners make it to January playing January football?
There will always be injuries in the NFL. Professional football is a brutal sport — a war of attrition. But add in Carolina’s patchy artificial turf and the Niners’ brand of football and one has to imagine that the risk of injury increases.
While, injuries are yet to define this Niners’ season, five games in, it’s hard to imagine this team can take much more.The 49ers have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL. They’re practiced at picking up injuries — they’ve been one of the most injured teams in the NFL for years. San Francisco went into Sunday’s game in North Carolina without their first-string quarterback, running back, left tackle, defensive tackles, and off-ball linebacker.
