The Los Angeles City Hall building downtown will reopen to the public on Wednesday, May 4.
The announcement came from Mayor Eric Garcetti and City Council President Nury Martinez after two years of closure due to the pandemic. The City Council will be resuming in-person meetings, but Council committees, Commission meetings, and other meetings managed by various city departments will remain virtual as hybrid options are figured out.
"I am looking forward to safely re-opening City Hall to the public and seeing our council chambers full of Angelenos again," Martinez said in a statement.
