Fiona Hennebry, who went head to head with her nephew Nathan to win the seat, was elected with 1425 votes.

Speaking on her success Scottish Labour councillor for Clydebank Central, Fiona Hennebry, said: “I am delighted to be elected to represent the area I call home. Scottish Labour Deputy Leader Jackie Baillie added: “This is an extraordinary result for Scottish Labour in one of the safest SNP wards in the country, and an embarrassing defeat for John Swinney.
