Lancashire's lost underground nightclub that was tucked away in a car park
A lost Lancashire underground nightclub that was tucked away in a car park attracted thousands every week.
"When I was about 16 there was a night on at this club in Burnley called Angels and it had just opened, a brand new venue. They were doing a funky house night on a Wednesday - I managed to get in there despite my age - and there was a DJ there that I really liked and I enjoyed his music, so much so I went every week for about 10 or 12 weeks."
"It worked, people used to sit inside the bass speakers that were massive at the time. Angels was the back end of a carpark in Burnley. But Paul said what he loved the most about the club was the people who went there and that he has fond memories of international DJ's such as Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold and Sasha playing there. He said: "The M65 when it got built, the opening at the exit at Burnley, it got so busy one Saturday night that they were actually queuing off the motorway to get in.
"I got him in through the back door because it was busy, he never moved further inside than by the back exit doors, just so he could stands there and listen to a couple of hours. Then he invited me down to work with an engineer and said I want you to make a track.
