Pitcher is still about a month away from rejoining major league rotation

McCullers will pitch for the Space Cowboys in Oklahoma City against the Dodgers’ Class AAA affiliate. McCullers threw 40 pitches across two innings during his first minor league rehab start last week with Class AA Corpus Christi. Presuming he stays healthy, McCullers is still about a month away from returning to the Astros’ rotation. The team estimated he could make “four or five” rehab starts before it had a conversation about his return.
