Large emergency services response including air ambulance after horror crash sees baby taken to hospital
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were scrambled to Altrincham on Sunday afternoon following a horror crash which saw a baby taken to hospital.
Passers-by watched on in horror as police officers, paramedics, and firefighters worked to treat the drivers and passengers of two cars that had been involved in a head on collision, causing serious damage to the vehicles. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two fire engines, from Stretford and Withington, attended the scene where two cars had collided head on. A baby, on board one of the vehicles, has been taken to Wythenshawe Hospital for precautionary checks. Crews were in attendance for ten minutes, whist they made the cars and scene safe.”
