Larry Gogan’s grandson says he 'hit the jackpot' to have radio legend as grandfather
The presenter, 81, who worked for RTE radio for almost six decades, died peacefully on Tuesday at a care centre surrounded by his family.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror yesterday, Larry’s grandson David Goode said: “All of us were so proud of him and to be able to call him our grandad was amazing. The 23-year-old, who is one of 12 grandkids, said his family have been touched by the love and respect that has been shown to his beloved grandad.
As his family and RTE came together yesterday to plan a fitting send-off for the star, tributes rolled in.
