The L.A. City Council is expected to vote on two remaining proposed tenant protections on Friday, Jan. 27.
After the Los Angeles City Council last week discussed a
“It is a concern if it doesn’t pass on Friday,” said Estuardo Mazariegos, co-director of the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment’s L.A. office. “We’re turning out again on Friday,” Mazariegos said. “We’re also nervous because there are some folks in City Hall that don’t have the working people in mind.”
The county’s moratorium, which had been set to expire at the end of this month, covers renters in the city of Los Angeles.
