Rain from the latest atmospheric river storm was pounding the Bay Area and Northern California Wednesday evening, bringing widespread flooding, mudslides and traffic issues, while gusty winds brought down trees and left tens of thousands without power.
The National Weather Service said a Flood Warning was in effect through 10:45 p.m. Wednesday for Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties, as well as Monterey and San Benito counties.
In addition, a High Wind Warning was in effect for the entire San Francisco Bay Area and Central Coast until 10 a.m. Thursday.
