Laura Whitmore InvestigatesThe Wicklow native has swapped the Love Island villa for some globe-trotting investigations as she explores topics like toxic masculinity, BDSM, and cyber-stalking.: “This series shines a light on a range of issues, which along with the contributors, victims and experts involved, we hope will resonate with viewers and help us to understand their dangers, complexities and consider possible resolutions.
“It’s been a an intense, eye-opening and at times emotional experience and one that I’m incredibly proud of,” she explained. Their investigation into toxic masculinity will focus on the subculture of involuntary celibates, or incels, a misogynistic group which has thrived online, known for their anti-female mindsets.While her episode on BDSM will focus on how the now-billion pound industry is influenced by pornography, as well as the “50 shades” defense, which is often used by male criminals during trials for their crimes against women.Laura served as executive producer of the series as well as host.
