This paper has learned that Kinahan has been dealt a knock-out blow after a judge in the Central District of California confirmed he would rule for a default judgement - once lawyer Eric Montalvo tells him exactly how much he wants in damages today.
A US lawyer suing Daniel Kinahan has won his case and will today formally ask a judge for the mobster to pay him up to $30M.
“That’s the power of the law. We have to hold bad people accountable and this is an example of while it may seem impossible now it’s probable,” he said. “Ultimately this isn’t over until we get the money, because that’s the only justice we can get for both my clients and some of the victims of the crimes.“We feel strongly that MTK and Daniel Kinahan’s people have done a lot of harm,” he said.
His comments come after he previously told this paper that should he win the case, the Heredia’s want to give a sum of the money to innocent families of victims murdered by the Kinahan cartel. Kinahan already has assets that were frozen by authorities in the United Arab Emirates following US imposed sanctions in April 2022.
