SMBC Aviation Capital says project will be a collaboration with Trinity College Dublin
SMBC Aviation Capital has plans to develop a sustainable aviation fuel research centre at its head office in Dublin city centre.
The firm, based on Fitzwilliam Street in Dublin 2, is one of the world’s largest aircraft leasing businesses with a fleet of more than 730 aircraft. Earlier this year, the company announced that it recorded a €318 million profit in the 12-month period to the end of March. Last year, the company agreed a deal to lease the large 12,500 sq m office development Fitzwilliam 28 after Slack, the messaging service, backed out of a deal to rent the building.
