Denise Van Outen's ex Lee Mead said on Friday's episode of This Morning that he had a second secret transplant for confidence and personal reasons.
Lee told the hosts how he recently went to a hair transplant clinic located in Istanbul to get his hairline brought forward for "personal" reasons. He explained: "So the most recent operation I thought, 'Alright I need to take the leap,' and what did it for me was, Robbie Williams was on Zoe Ball's show on Radio 2 and said that he wanted to get a transplant recently, but he left it so long, his hair got so thin that he can't have the operation. So it's better to get it done sooner rather than later."
A hair transplant in the UK can cost anywhere between £1,000 and £30,000 - according to the NHS - depending on the extent of hair loss, the type of procedure and the clinic that carries it out. "When they shaved my head for the operation I didn't realise I was actually losing a lot more hair than I thought. I did have a large mop of hair that covered those areas."
