All Leeds households in line for £900 DWP payment
Across the UK, the cost-of-living crisis is continuing to bite, but some government support is on the way for a few households.
"That’s why we’re putting a further £900 into the pockets of over eight million low-income households next year. These payments are on top of above-inflation increases to working-age benefits and the Energy Price Guarantee, which is insulating millions from even higher global gas prices."According to the government, the next £900 cost-of-living payment will go to people on means-tested benefits. This will then be delivered in three separate payments across the year.
They will need to have received an eligible benefit payment within a certain timeframe, which has not yet been announced. Leeds East is the area with the most to qualify for the fund, with 19,700 homes.
