Patrick Bamford told to 'hang up his boots' after Leeds United latest - pundit
Patrick Bamford’s disastrous injury record will put off any club interested in signing him from Leeds United., former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie suggested that if Bamford is fit enough to continue playing he should look at a move to America or Saudi Arabia, if not he may have to retire. The 30-year-old is yet to feature for the Whites this season after picking up a hamstring injury in the final days of pre-season and has been sidelined since., Farke comfirmed that Bamford is nearing a return to action and said this week of training has been “massively beneficial” as part of his recovery.
The striker’s current contract at Elland Road runs until 2026 after he joined from Middlesbrough in 2018. But McAvennie suggested Bamford may struggle to move on from the Yorkshire club even if he wanted to.
