Leeds United are planning to agree the signings of a winger and striker before the transfer deadline,The Whites have been rocked by the exits of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter in recent weeks and are now turning attention to incomings.Summerville and Rutter notched a combined 50 Championship goal involvements in the 2023-24 campaign and that output will need to be recreated if Daniel Farke’s side are to mount a successful promotion push this term.
One target is Sunderland winger Jack Clarke, who started his career at Elland Road before leaving for Tottenham in 2019.revealed on Monday that Leeds could re-sign Clarke in a sensational move after the forward, 23, rejected a new contract with the Black Cats.The winger, who is under contract until June 2026, hit 15 goals last term and has already scored once this season.Leeds lined up with Wilfried Gnonto, Mateo Joseph and Daniel James as their front three for the 0-0 draw away at West Brom on Saturday .
The Whites have drawn both of their Championship games this term and were dumped out of the League Cup with a 3-0 defeat against Middlesbrough last week.
