The level 3 cold weather warning is now in place until 16 December
Leeds will continue to freeze this week with sub-zero overnight temperatures and some parts of the country predicted to fall to -10c.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Steve Willington, said: "It is staying cold with daytime temperatures remaining only a few degrees above freezing in many places over the coming days and overnight temperatures dropping to -10°C or lower in isolated spots. Although below average, these temperatures are not that unusual for this time of year."He also warned that freezing fog could cause some issues during the Monday morning rush hour.
