Leeds United visit Leicester City in the Championship on Friday night and Daniel Farke has prepared his troops in the way a well-known Argentinian predecessor would be proud of
Buses will not be parked as Leeds United look to pick off Leicester City with counter-attacks at King Power Stadium on Friday night. In a tone much like an Argentinian predecessor, Daniel Farke proclaimed the Whites would look to dominate possession and be the protagonist under the lights in Leicestershire.
READ MORE: Leeds United line-up vs Leicester City with long-awaited attacking switch and right-back debate "When I think about the last game against Huddersfield, we dominated the second half with 80 per cent possession. You literally can’t have more than we had, but we were capable of creating chances out of each and every possible situation in the game.
Choosing to dominate the ball and being able to do that are very different things, especially at the home of a team which has won 13 of 14 matches in setting new second-tier records. Farke is asking a lot from his charges, but this is why they are where they are in their careers, asking questions of themselves and pushing beyond their boundaries.
“If you don’t have stupid own goals, then when you have the ball the opponent can’t score. It increases your chances to win the game, but it is also important not to lose the focus on the most important topic which is to win the game."
