Leeds United showed their class to see off Huddersfield Town 4-1 at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon
Leeds United showed glimpses of Daniel Farke’s ‘ideal picture of football’ as they saw off Huddersfield Town emphatically at Elland Road, but the performance wasn’t perfect. That’s according to the manager, who believes the Whites still have plenty of room for improvement, despite blowing away the Terriers and running out 4-1 victors.
With the interval approaching, Summerville grabbed a second to round up and hammer home a dominant first-half display, in which Leeds’ attack could be seen firing on all cylinders. Unfortunately, the Whites appeared to take their foot off the gas in the second half, though, and as Farke looked to make changes and wrap his key men in cotton wool Town pulled one back.
Of course, it was nothing more than a consolation, with Leeds securing the three points to bounce back from the disappointment of Wednesday night’s loss at Stoke City in style. Farke, then, was understandably delighted to claim the West Yorkshire bragging rights, but he still believes facets of Leeds’ game need work.
“I was an electrifying first half with some unbelievable offensive work, we were all over them and created so many chances. Was not perfect because of the beginning I also got the feeling, a bit like in last weeks we don't make enough out of our dominance and creating situations but if you’re 4-0 up at half-time, you can't complain too much about this.
