Leeds United are in the play-off positions heading into the international break
Leeds United remain in the Championship play-off positions after today's results. Daniel Farke's troops, who squandered two points at leaders Sunderland last night after Illan Meslier's late blunder, head into the international break in fifth position.
Both Burnley and West Bromwich Albion were held to draws with Preston North End and Millwall respectively. Clarets head coach Scott Parker said: “It was a busy week for us. We decided to keep the same team. The game looked a little bit lethargic for us, for sure. “I think everyone could see that in terms of how Preston approached the game and disrupted it, certainly in the second half, and just took the wind out of the game in certain moments.
Watford came-from-behind to beat Middlesbrough and climb up to sixth. Elsewhere, Norwich City thrashed Hull City 4-0 in the early match while Portsmouth earned a share of the spoils with Oxford United. Derby County saw off Queens Park Rangers 2-0. There were also late wins for Plymouth Argyle and Sheffield Wednesday. Swansea City and Stoke City played out a goalless draw.
