The weather is a far cry from the destruction caused by Storm Babet recently, and also different to the heavy rain and thunderstorms that are expected come Thursday when Storm Ciarán arrives. There have been weather warnings in place however across the UK for thunderstorms and heavy overnight rains. But Leeds seems to have escaped these entirely. On Monday, the Met Office said the weather will: "Starting generally cloudy with outbreaks of rain or drizzle. Becoming increasingly dry and bright through the day with a risk of isolated showers later. Winds largely light but feeling cold. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
But it is expected to change as Thursday nears, with Tuesday and Wednesday being: "Cloudy with outbreaks of rain or showers Tuesday and Wednesday. Winds strengthening Wednesday. Strong winds and heavy rain or showers likely arriving on Thursday. Feeling cold."
