Tributes have begun to pour in following the passing of legendary League of Ireland manager Jim McLaughlin at the age of 83.
The Derry-born strike joined Dundalk as a player/manager in 1974 and oversaw one of the greatest spells in the club's history. Moving onto Shamrock Rovers, McLaughlin lifted the FAI Cup twice and managed the outfit to three league title wins on the bounce between 1984 and 1986. While former club Derry said in a statement: "All at Derry City Football Club are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jim McLaughlin.
