A legendary nurse has received the rare honour of having a Nottingham hospital ward named after her. .
After cutting the ribbon at an official opening ceremony on Monday, October 16, Jenny said: "It has been wonderful. I was so shocked when Maxine told me. When I first found out I asked her 'is this a joke?' I feel like this is not just for me, but for the nursing staff as a whole.Jenny, who lives in Hucknall, says she still sees many patients who she had cared for over her decades long career.
The event was attended by many of Jenny's former colleagues, including Dr Andy Haynes, who gave an impassioned tribute to her work in the NHS. "I learned a lot about patients and life from Jenny and many of us owe her. Jenny was an integral part of many generations of patients undergoing chemotherapy.
