Legendary defender Paul McGrath paid a visit to O’Leary for his birthday and posing for photos with O’Leary and son John and holding balloons, McGrath wrote on social media: “I have a lot of catching up to do to reach this man’s level, 101 and counting. Just amazing. We had a lovely few hours with Charlie and his son John today.” Many fans posted online messages too, with one fan writing: “Love it big man. Charlie is an absolute legend and a gent.
