Acclaimed songwriter Cynthia Weil has died at the age of 82.
The acclaimed songwriter was behind some huge tracks, including You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling, Uptown andHer daughter, Dr Jenn Mann, confirmed the news of her death in a statement, paying tribute to the music icon.
‘My mother, Cynthia Weil, was the greatest mother, grandmother and wife our family could ever ask for,’ she told TMZ. ‘She was my best friend, confidant, and my partner in crime and an idol and trailblazer for women in music.’ Cynthia’s husband and fellow songwriter, Barry Mann, added: ‘I’m a lucky man.
