Ross Byrne, playing his last game for Leinster before joining Gloucester, kicked two early penalties, setting the stage for John McKee's opening try for the hosts.
However, Cardiff responded with tries from Harri Millard and Thomas Young, taking a five-point lead into halftime.The second half belonged to Leinster. Jack Boyle scored a try in stoppage time before the break, and Max Deegan and Luke McGrath added further tries after Cardiff's Alex Mann was sin-binned. Charlie Tector also crossed the line, giving Leinster an insurmountable lead. Cardiff, though, refused to back down, with Millard scoring his second try and Ellis Bevan adding another. Rob Russell sealed the victory for Leinster with a late try.
